Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was the difference between the two sides as Everton beat Chelsea 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 2012. Lukaku scored both goals as the Toffees squeezed past the Blues, whose season seems all but over after crashing out of two Cup competitions within a span of a few days.

Lukaku though, sold by Chelsea to Everton, was in fine form on the night and told reporters after the game, "It feels great, I am just happy for the team and to do something we wanted. Now we have 90 minutes to go and we delivered a good performance after the loss against West Ham.

Speaking about his goals, he said, "I think the first goal is the best thing, I didn't know where I was going but then I was in the box. I saw Gary Cahill not know where he was going so I shifted it onto my left foot. It was just another goal and happy for the team. If you wan to win cups, you have to beat the big teams."

Talking about his former team, the Belgian said, "I don't think I have anything to prove to Chelsea, I went there as an 18-year-old and learnt the trade of being a professional footballer. I will always be grateful to them.

Looking ahead to the semi-final, Lukaku said, "If we work hard and are clinical offensively and defensively, we have a chance."
Everton will know who they face in the semi-finals when the draw for the final four is held on Monday night.
