Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has pointed out that star midfielder Jack Wilshere is a hugely important part in his game-plan and tactics.

The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters: “I personally see him in a creative, offensive position. It can be on the flank, it can be through the middle but for me he’s a creator in the final third.”

Wenger went on to say that the next season will be a big one for the Englishman. He also said that he hopes the player is able to go the next season without any problems, which will help him perform well for the side.

Wilshere has been one of the most highly rated and promising players in the north Londoners’ first team squad in recent times. However, a number of injuries in the past few seasons have limited the player’s first team opportunities, whilst also affecting his form and consistency.

Last season, the Englishman was able to make 24 appearances for his side, with a number of them being as a late game sub. However, with him having been in good form towards the end of the campaign, fans will hope to see him carrying that forward into next season too, and helping his side pose a strong challenge for titles
