Premier League heavyweights Manchester United and Arsenal have still not made a move for their target, Borussia Dortmund ace Mats Hummels, according to latest revelations made by the Bundesliga club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Watzke was quoted telling German publication Bild: "He is under contract until 2017, and we have not received an offer. That's why we are completely relaxed."

However, the boss also revealed that Hummels held talks with him and club sporting director Michael Zorc 2 weeks ago, and that he is ‘mulling over his future’.

Hummels, widely considered as one of the most highly rated centre backs in the world right now, has been reported to be growing disillusioned with his stay at Signal Iduna Park this season, following the shambolic performances of his club in the league during the first half of the campaign. He recently even went public, saying that he is open to the prospect of a move away from the Bundesliga in the times to come.

The Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal and the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger have been ardent admirers of the player for quite a while now. Both the sides have been repeatedly linked with a move for the German star since the last season. However, going by the comments of Dortmund’s CEO, it remains to be seen which of the sides finally manage to sign him, if at all they make a move for him in the times to come.
