Liverpool are understood to be open to the idea of listening to offers for defender Tiago Ilori in the summer, according to reports in The Daily Express.

The 22 year old moved to the Merseyside club from Sporting Lisbon in the year 2013, for a transfer fee of £7m, after showcasing immense promise. However, he has failed to make even a single appearance for the Reds all this while. The player is currently on loan at French side Bordeaux, after having spent the latter half of last season on loan at La Liga side Granada.

The youngster also showcased great talent playing for the Under 18, Under 19, Under 20 and Under 21 sides of his country Portugal. His recent display in the Under 21s fixture against Denmark is believed to have made him a target for Premier League side Sunderland. Additionally, Scottish club Celtic are also keeping tabs on him, with manager Ronny Deila viewing him as an ideal addition to his side’s defence. Finally, Real Sociedad manager David Moyes is also understood to be monitoring the progress of the youngster, and may move for him in the summer.

Ilori has made 13 appearances for Bordeaux this season, scoring a solitary goal.
