Kings XI Punjab continued their unbeaten run in the Champions League T20 booking their place in the semi-finals of the competition in style with another crushing 7 wicket win over the Cape Cobras from South Africa.

The Kings XI Punjab won the toss and once again invited their opposition to make first use of the pitch. The Cobras made a solid start, adding 60 runs for the opening wicket before Hashim Amla fell for an excellent 40 from just 22 balls to Karanveer Singh. His opening partner Richard Levi also made a handy contribution, chipping in with 42 from 37 balls, but the Punjab spinners tied up the Cobras middle order in knots and picked up wickets at regular intervals.

At 105-2 in the 13th over, the Cape Cobras looked set to get a score in excess of 170, but lost their last 8 wickets for just 30 runs as Anureet Singh and Akshar Patel shared six wickets between them.

That left the Kings XI Punjab needing a paltry total of 136 for the win and they coasted to the finish line with 11 deliveries to spare. Each of their top 5 batsmen got off to starts, getting into double digits, with Wriddhiman Saha top scoring for the hosts, making an unbeaten 42 from 35 balls to see his side to a comfortable victory.

Virender Sehwag, Manan Vohra and Glen Maxwell all amazingly fell for 23, but it mattered little as KXIP cruised into the semi-finals where they will take on the other Group's runners-up, either the Chennai Super Kings or the Lahore Lions.
