Milos Raonic won his fifth career ATP title and second of the season on Sunday at the Thailand Open, an ATP World Tour 250 event in Bangkok.

Raonic, seeded third in the tournament, defeated top seed and world no. 6 Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 7-6(4), 6-3 in the final. In victory, the 22-year-old Canadian hit 18 aces and won 95 percent of his first serve points. He also saved the only break point he faced in the 77 minute match. Raonic is now 2-0 against Berdych in head-to-head meetings.

With this title, Raonic moves closer to a berth in the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. He is just 180 points behind Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who is in tenth place. Both players will be competing in the Rakuten Japan Open in Tokyo this week. Raonic is the reigning finalist at the ATP World Tour 500 event and will as a result have a lot of points to defend there too.
