The Chennai Super Kings booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League T20 with a thumping 8 wicket win over the Brisbane Heat in Ranchi on Saturday night. The day started as a mixed bag for Brisbane, with James Hopes posting a neat 20, while Chris Lynn made 29, but four of their top 7 batsmen failed to get past the a score of 3. It proved to be too little though as Chennai's opening stand was quickly followed by a rapid 23 from 15 balls from the in form Suresh Raina, before MS Dhoni came out and smashed 13 from 5 balls to entertain his home town fans to see Chennai to victory.
