Romelu Lukaku’s younger brother Jordan seems to be a top target for European bigwigs this summer. The 18-year old operates on the flanks and is known for his pace. He currently plies his trade at Belgian giants Anderlecht and is out of contract this summer.
According to the Daily Express, London giants Arsenal and Italian outfit AC Milan are both interested in the player and could go head to head for his signature in the summer transfer window. Corriere dello Sport also suggests that AC Milan’s managing director Adriano Galliani has asked his club to monitor the player’s progress.
Both the aforementioned clubs are known for their conservative attitude in the transfer market and that has made their interest in Lukaku even more keen, due to the possibility of a bosman transfer.
One does feel though that Arsenal will have to compromise on their rigid wage structure if they are to pip Milan to the Belgian. Arsene Wenger though will be carefully weighing his options since Jordan has no experience in a league as competitive as the English onee and is still very much an unproven talent.
For now, Arsenal do have the upper hand as far as this signing is concerned since Jordan had admitted last year that he was an avid supporter of the Gunners.
