Manchester United winger Nani is prepared to move on from Old Trafford according to the Daily Mail, but only in the summer and not in January. The Portuguese star has been strongly linked with a United exit after contract talks between the player and club broke down. Arsenal are reportedly interested in taking the attacker to North-London but the player is said to prefer a move to Spain or Italy instead while his wage demands are also a stumbling block for any Arsenal approach. – new

Arsene Wenger is seemingly preparing himself for Bacary Sagna’s departure after InsideFutbol revealed that the Arsenal manager was tracking Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier, who has been making all the right noises since moving from Lens in January this year. The 19 year old defender is also wanted by PSG, although Toulouse have him tied down till 2016 and aren’t looking to do business anytime soon. - new

Harry Redknapp has a mighty task on his hand saving QPR but the veteran manager also has his eyes out for his family members as he plans to rescue Frank Lampard from his nightmarish time at Chelsea by making a January move, so claims the Daily Star. Lampard revealed this week that he feared his Chelsea career was nearing its end and QPR are reportedly prepared to offer a two-and-half year contract along with the captain’s armband to the 34 year old midfielder.

On the theme of Chelsea veterans being pushed out of Stamford Bridge, the Daily Star also report that the Blues are now looking at Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao as a direct replacement for Ashley Cole, who looks likely to depart the club for free in the summer after rejecting a one-year contract extension. £12m is all it would take to pry Coentrao away from the Santiago Bernabeu where Marcelo has been the first-choice left full-back.

Robert Lewandowski is back in the Manchester United gossip galaxy after the Borussia Dortmund star himself spoke about the Red Devils when questioned over his future. The Metro reports that the Polish striker declared that ‘It would be very difficult to say ‘no’ to a club like United’ and is even considering a January move if a substantial offer comes about. But Sir Alex Ferguson is already struggling to keep his four main strikers happy, so a winter deal looks very unlikely.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal are praying for Liverpool to sign Jack Butland as it would allow them to then pursue long-time target Pepe Reina. Arsene Wenger has seemingly come to the realisation that his struggling squad needs an injection of quality and Reina fits the bill for the Gunners, who are also keeping an eye on Stoke’s Asmir Begovic as a back-up option.

Wenger is also behind another Liverpool talent as The Sun reveals that Raheem Sterling is a serious target for Arsenal and even Man United, both of whom are currently being kept at arms length by a desperate Brendan Rodgers with the Mirror reporting that the Liverpool manager wants to resolve the contract dispute before the New Year. The 18 year old winger could cost up to £15m for any prospective suitor though, a steep fee for a teenager.

Spicy Rumour

Christian Eriksen is the latest star in the long line of Ajax wonder kids and the Danish midfielder recently stated that his dream was to follow in the footsteps of a number of club legends by hopping to Barcelona. But the Evening Standard report that Tottenham Hotspur feel that they are the ‘Next best thing to Barca’ and are seriously considering a move for the £20m-rated 20 year old after accepting defeat over Joao Moutinho.

Spurs are also tracking a rough-diamond in St.Etienne’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to The Sun. The battle for the 23 year old striker and his Swarovski encrusted boots could heat up as Man United are also rumoured to be hanging about.

Swansea City continue to be bombarded with interest from around Europe for their star summer signing Michu as the Daily Mail report that Shakhtar Donetsk and Russian moneybags Anzhi have joined Liverpool in tracking the Spanish midfielder. The Swans might have paid an incredibly low £2m for the Spaniard but they are seeking in-excess of £15m if and when they decide to sell the 26 year old. - new

Sounds Realistic

Roberto Mancini has struggled to land a number of targets form his native Serie A and TalkSport report that he could face further disappointment as Sampdoria have rejected the notion of selling highly-rated midfielder Pedro Obiang in January, with the Italian clubs Sporting Director stating that the 20 year old was indispensable, until a satisfactory offer arrived.

The ‘Next Robert Lewandowski’ is already making huge waves in Poland as 18 year old Arkadiusz Milik is now the subject of a bidding war between Liverpool and Torino. Polish club Gornik Zabrze aren’t keen on selling the teenager as yet but TalkSport reveal that their financial struggles might force their hand if a substantial offer comes about.

Sam Allardyce isn’t happy with having two tall strikers struggling to find the back of the net in Carlton Cole and Andy Carroll as the Daily Mail report that the West Ham manager intends to take Marouane Chamakh on loan from Arsenal in January. Chamakh is one among a long-list of deadweight players in Wenger’s squad and could jump at the chance of regular first-team action. Continuing on the Arsenal-West Ham links, Yossi Benayoun’s long-term future at Upton park is in doubt after it was revealed that ‘Big Sam’ has reservations over the Israeli midfielder’s fitness and is said to be unsure of turning his loan deal from Chelsea into a permanent switch.
