According to reports in the British press, Real Madrid playmaker Kaka could be headed out of the club when the winter transfer window opens in January due to lack of playing time with the Spanish champions.

The Sun reports that the former FIFA World Player of the Year could look for a way out of the club after failing to impress manager Jose Mourinho sufficiently to earn himself a regular starting berth at Real.

Kaka joined Los Blancos in 2009 as part of their new Galacticos era after a successful spell with Italian giants AC Milan. However, he has found it hard to cement a place in the team with injuries and loss of form troubling him throughout his Madrid career. He has only managed 8 appearances for the club so far this season across all competitions, including just 1 league start.

MLS club LA Galaxy are looking to sign Kaka as their new marquee player after the departure of David Beckham and a move to America could interest the Brazilian. However, a number of European clubs too seem interested in the player, including the likes of Paris St. Germain and Kaka's former club AC Milan.
