According to French tabloids, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is wanted by French club Paris St-Germain. The club's Qatar based owners are disappointed with Italian Carlo Ancelotti’s management of the club that has seen a star studded PSG team drop to 4th in the league standings. Ancelotti’s team has won just 3 out of their last 9 games which include 3 losses and 3 draws. After 15 games, PSG are 5 points adrift from leaders Lyon in the Ligue-1 which has spurred a reaction from their wealthy owners. The former AC Milan manager may well be given the sack after recent performances, if he fails to improve in the near future.
It is also believed that Arsene Wenger is on top of the priority list for the club's management as a replacement for the Italian.
Wenger though is contracted with Arsenal till 2014, a period that he is likely to serve out at the London club. Having seen the club rise and fall under his own tenure since 1996, Wenger is thought of as a man of fixed principles and integrity which makes it unlikely for the switch to happen anytime soon.
Amazingly though there are reports to the contrary doing the rounds which state that Wenger is in talks with PSG’s owners and given his poor recent form at Arsenal, he might be considering the option of leaving Arsenal for PSG after this season, a move that will take him back home to France.
