Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson continues to foster hopes of one day re-signing protégé Cristiano Ronaldo but believes that it’s highly improbable.
The legendary Scot has described Ronaldo as ‘unbuyable’ claiming that the Portuguese is at the peak of his game and that his value would be far beyond the means of Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson told reporters of the Telegraph, ““There’s every chance he might leave, you never know. He’s definitely unbuyable. Who could afford him? One of the Russian teams could buy him but do you think he’d want to go to Russia?â€
Cristiano Ronaldo has recently come out and said that he misses Sir Alex and while the two great figures in football would love to work together again, it’s hard to see that happening. Paris St. Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City are three possible future destinations for the Portuguese as the clubs seem to have the means to acquire his signature.
While the media have often branded the Portuguese star self-centered and arrogant, one does not believe that he would sign with his former clubs' arch rivals. Real Madrid take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the coming week and it’ll be interesting to see what Ronaldo has up his sleeve on his return to Manchester.
