Sir Alex Ferguson has received a glittering review about Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha from his son Darren Ferguson, and according to the Sunday People, the Scot is going to take a lead of faith and submit a bid in January.
Crystal Palace are reportedly looking at £20 million for the youngster but United believe that about half that price is a more appropriate valuation. The Red Devils have made that kind of investment in young talent over the years and Fergie is willing to go all the way with Zaha as well in order to pip the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, who have also expressed interest in the Ivory Coast born Englishman.
The player’s rise to fame has come as no surprise as his performances for Palace have been appreciated by fans, his fellow teammates as well as pundits across England. The 20-year old made his debut for England in the team’s 4 – 2 defeat to Sweden last week, and it comes as no surprise that a host of Premier League teams are looking to snap him up as soon as possible.
Crystal Palace would like to have Zaha on board for their promotion push this term but with the kind of names knocking on their door at the moment, the Championship side may find it impossible to resist a big money offer, especially if the player himself expresses a desire to move.
