Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao is open to the possibility of moving to another club in a few years time although he has maintained that he is committed to the La Liga side at the moment, according to ESPN Soccernet. The Colombian striker has been in blistering form this season and many top clubs have been chasing the highly-rated player before the upcoming winter transfer window.
Manchester City and Chelsea are leading the race for the 26 year-old and the two sides could make ambitious attempts to snap up the forward in January as he continues to impress with 13 goals in 11 games for the Spanish side this season. However, the striker has been missing Europa League ties raising suspicions that he is looking forward to a transfer and ensure that he can represent his new club in European games but Falcao rubbished these claims.
Falcao told Spanish radio, “The chance of playing in another league and for another club will come. I keep dreaming. I know that in time I would like to go to a different team. The Premier League is an interesting league but I have a few years left on my contract with Atletico and I'm just focusing on Atletico.â€
Chelsea appear poised for a winter swoop especially as Fernando Torres continues to turn in sub-par performances for the Blues. Although Atletico were earlier unwilling to sell their prized asset, they could be tempted to accede to a transfer to end their financial worries for good.
