Derby County midfielder Will Hughes could be the latest young talent to break into the Premier League as Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool consider a winter move for the talented teenager.
The 17 year-old joined Derby County in the summer of 2011 and has since made tremendous progress, breaking into their first team within months. The teenager has already made 19 appearances for Derby County’s first team so far and is all set to become the second youngest player to represent England at the Under-21 level in a friendly against Northern Ireland on Tuesday.
Arsene Wenger has received glowing reports on Hughes from chief scout Steve Rowley, who has watched the player in action this season. Manchester City and Liverpool have also been alerted to the youngster’s talents and would consider making a January bid, according to the Telegraph. Derby County are looking to cut down on their costs and the sale of the highly-rated midfielder could be a possibility in the coming transfer window.
Derby County are understood to be demanding £4 million for the midfielder in the winter transfer window. However, with the kind of attention that the youngster has been garnering, a bidding war could be on the cards which would favour Derby County, should they agree to sell their prized teenager.
