In arguably one of the most open ATP World Tour Finals in recent memory, World no.1 Novak Djokovic got perhaps the harder of the two draws having been handed reigning US Open champion Andy Murray, Czech powerhouse Tomas Berdych and charismatic Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Group A. Group B meanwhile is headed by the legendary Swiss maestro Roger Federer and includes never-say-die Spaniard David Ferrer, a very much in-form Juan Martin del Potro and a Serbian who will be desperate not to become the whipping boy of the group, Janko Tipsarevic. The tennis fraternity meanwhile continues to miss its favourite Spanish left-hander Rafael Nadal, who had withdrawn from this tournament a couple of weeks back due to his prolonged battle with knee injuries.

The action at the O2 Arena in London will be kicked off by Group A on Monday with home favourite Murray starting his campain against Berdych. The duo will be followed on court by Djokovic and Tsonga. Group B action starts on Tuesday with Roger Federer opening his campaign against Janko Tipsarevic followed by Ferrer and Del Potro.

The tournament is a round-robin format where all players in a group face each other one, with the top 2 at the end of it qualifying to the semi-finals. If players are tied on match-wins, sets won are used as a determining factor to decide who goes through to the knock-out stage of the competition.

The top double teams in the world are also participating in the event, however, the draw for that is still awaited.

A: Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

B: Roger Federer, David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro and Janko Tipsarevic
