Carzonrent (I) Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer in shaping the multi-service taxi industry in India today announced its partnership with Akhil Khuslani, rated as India's most promising talent in motor racing. Akhil's racing pedigree will be on display for his Indian fans in the two rounds of the JK Racing Asia Series to be held during the 2012 Formula 1 Airtel Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit.
JKRAS' (earlier Formula BMW Pacific Series) key goal is promoting and training racing drivers. Seven Formula BMW drivers are currently race in Formula1 including Nico Rosberg, Timo Glock, Adrian Sutil, Sébastien Buemi, Nicolas Hülkenberg, Bruno Senna, and reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel.
Commenting on the association, Mr. Rajiv Vij, MD & CEO, Carzonrent said "Motor sport is the adventurous and thrilling attraction that can be linked with our personal ground transportation industry. Akhil Khushlani very recently delivered a second place at the 10th round of the JK Racing Asia Series held at Silverstone. He has been Karting since the age of 10. As a junior he participated in 43 races and recorded an unprecedented thirty one wins. As a senior he test drove the Formula BMW Asia at Malaysia and Indonesia with distinction. Currently he is a key driver in Narian Karthikeyan's Team NK Racing and has secured a top 5 finish in 3 races.
