Sunfoil Series match between the Sunfoil Dolphins and the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras came to an extremely disappointing conclusion as umpires Karl Hurter and Brad White called off play for the final day early on.
Only four sessions were completed and there had been no play since the tea break on Friday. With no end to the rain in sight, and the outfield already wet, there was no possibility of any play.
The Cobras take home just the three bowling bonus points earned in the Dolphins first innings, while the Dolphins ended on 3.42 batting points. There was no Man of the Match award, and the teams will now have to wait until December before resuming their Sunfoil Series campaigns.
