Javier Hernandez has been seeing considerably less playing time since the arrival of Robin van Persie at Old Trafford over the summer. Now it appears that Manchester United could rope in Real Madrid to take the player of their hands, as Jose Mourinho continues to show an interest in the Mexican striker, claimed the Daily Star.
The Mexico international has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and his time with United seems to be nearing an end. Man United are prepared to make the sale next summer and could use the player in a swap deal involving another Real Madrid star.
United had earlier shown an interest in Real defenders Raul Albiol and Raphael Varane. Star right-back Sergio Ramos is also said to be on United's radar after the Spaniard's recent fallout with Mourinho. However, Brazilian stalwart Kaka is understood to be Ferguson's prime target and the United boss had even made an attempt to land the 30 year-old near the end of the summer transfer window.
United could also steal away Liverpool's loan star Nuri Sahin next summer after the Turkish midfielder garnered rave reviews for his performances in England. Mourinho would be prepared to relinquish a star or two next summer if he is able to land the 24 year-old for a bargain deal as he aims to widen his attacking options at the Santiago Bernabeu.
