In what could be seen as a attempt to coax Ashley Cole out of Chelsea, Paris St Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has described the England international as the best left-back in the world, reports The Guardian.

The Italian, who managed the player while at Chelsea for two years, is known to be a huge admirer of the England full back, and with reports that Cole has rejected Chelsea's offer of a one-year contract extension, Ancelotti could be very interested in bringing the 31 year old to the French capital.

Cole is well into the final year of his current contract with Chelsea and could sign a pre-contract with another club as early as January.

Ancelotti shared in his interview quoted in the Guardian, "A lot of players are linked with Paris St-Germain in the market. The newspapers said that 100 players could come here. For this season, we have a very good squad but next year, I don't know what is going on. Ashley Cole is the best left-back in the world at the moment."

Ancelotti also supported his former captain John Terry, who has recently been charged by the FA for racially abusing QPR’s Anton Ferdinand, saying that Terry could not be a racist and such a decision by the FA was unbelievable and undeserved.
