Manchester United might be spoilt for choice in the forwards department, but that hasn't stopped Sir Alex Ferguson from keeping his eye out for talent as the Metro reports that the veteran manager is looking to bring in Ajax prodigy Viktor Fischer. The 18 year old striker first came to the attention of Europe's big clubs after netting a hat-trick against Liverpool in the NextGen series last year.
The Dane has been prolific for his country too, scoring a whopping 20 goals for the U-17 side before adding three from five appearances for the U-19 outfit. His burgeoning talents has alerted giants across the continent, but United look set to beat off the competition with a £5m offer.
Denmark's U-19 coach has furthered intensified the hype surrounding the teenager by suggesting that he could on-par with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in a few years. He is yet to break into the first-team at Ajax, only making a few appearances in pre-season. But he has only two years left in his contract and is said to be open to a move abroad.United already have young Federico Macheda and Angelo Henriquez waiting in the wings behind the top four strikers- Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck. Another attacking import might not be the biggest worry for United fans as most have been clamouring for a defensive midfielder for ages, but it seems Sir Alex is set to continue his policy of recruiting young forwards.
