Mirror Football mention one of the hottest rumours going around in the transfer mill today – Kaka may join Manchester United on a season-long loan deal.
The Brazilian’s story at Real Madrid has not been rosy and many feel a player of his caliber deserves much more than he presently gets under Jose Mourinho’s set-up. With Mourinho letting speculation regarding the attacking midfielder's future continue unabated, talk of a loan deal is now circulating and Manchester United are the prime suitors.
Madrid would be happy to allow Kaka to join elsewhere with the burden of his massive wages taken care of. United though must consider whether this is the same player who single-handedly beat them over two legs in the UEFA Champions League some years ago for there is no denying his form and fitness have dipped in his tenure in Spain. Add to that the number of players already contesting for the position behind the forward at Old Trafford make his arrival seem surplus to requirement.
Having said that, a former World Player of the Year who, in fact, made more appearances last year than he has done since 2007-08 and assisted more goals than in any season previously, might be the final piece of the puzzle for Sir Alex Ferguson. At least no one would complain of lack of star dust at United.
