Chelsea have been on a transfer bender ever since they clinched the Champions League back in May, adding attacking talents with a voracious appetite. Not content with Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Oscar, the Blues have been chasing Victor Moses and Andre Schurrle. And, they might have competition from Inter Milan for the latter according to Calciomercato in Italy.

Bayer Leverkusen have no intention to sell Schurrle anytime soon as they signed the 21 year old only last summer. They have already rejected an earlier £19.5m bid from Chelsea and are expected to hold out for a much bigger pay day if they do decide to sell him. The attacker himself declared recently that the prospect of turning out for the European Champions is an enticing one.

Inter haven't been through a wipe-out like their arch-rivals AC Milan, but even the Nerazzurri are keen on reducing their wages a great deal in the current economic climate. The report states that Inter have turned to the Bundesliga for new recruits, with Schurrle, Mario Goetze and Thomas Muller all on their shopping list.

Chelsea already possess a plethora of talent in the attacking positions and Roberto Di Matteo has a nightmarish job on hand fitting in all the stars. They have been looking for a wide player to add some width to their line-up and Schurrle is an ideal fit, as he showcased last season at Leverkusen and during the Euros with Germany. But Wigan's Moses is the cheaper alternative and while money isn't an issue for Roman Abramovich, the four remaining years of the German's contract will be a stumbling block.

Leverkusen meanwhile remain adamant that Schurrle is going nowhere, with manager Sami Hyypia keen on holding onto the talented starlet.
