Chelsea have edged slightly closer to reaching an agreement for Brazilian star Oscar after the player himself confirmed that he had undergone a medical with the Blues. The Internacional midfielder is currently in England preparing for the Olympics with the Brazilian National team and he also added that he was completely focused on the games alone, suggesting that further negotiations would have to wait until the end of the tournament. The Blues have been locked in tedious talks with the Brazilian outfit, who wanted to make Oscar's transfer the biggest in the country's football history.
The 20 year old told the press in England, "I only had a meeting with the doctor, nothing else. I didn't sign any contract yet and I will wait until the end of the Olympic games to decide my future." "All Brazilian players have this dream. I have, like everybody the dream to play in Europe and the Premier League," added the Brazilian who has initially courted by Tottenham.
Roman Abramovich has been eager to add the £25m-rated midfielder to his new look side, with the Brazilian already being described as the 'next Kaka'. The Champions League winners have bought a slew of attacking talents to Stamford Bridge this summer as they try hard to move away from the defensive-minded outfit that won them the trophy last season. Abramovich has also dreamed of his millions shaping a free-flowing, attacking style of football and the Russian owner is going out of his way to ensure that the new squad manages to achieve that.
