Arsenal have sent out Costa Rican starlet Joel Campbell out on loan again this season, this time to Spanish side Real Betis. The 20-year-old forward, signed from Deportivo Saprissa in August 2011, has spent all of his Arsenal career thus far on loan, with the last season spent at French side Lorient, where he contributed with 4 goals in his 27 appearances for the club.
Caampbell joins Denilson on the list of players loaned out by the club for the season, with the latter extending his Sao Paulo stay by one year.
Campbell, who has scored 6 times in 14 appearnces for his country, was once again refused a work permit in England after he returned from his loan, and Arsenal hope that the consecutive loan deals will help him qualify for a permit in the future.
Manager Arsene Wenger is happy to send him out on loan to gain more first-team experience, and Campbell is very happy to have secured his move to Betis. "It's a great opportunity for me to grow," Campbell told Fox TV. "I am going to the world's best league, and I want to play. I want to show what I am capable of."
