Jade Dernbach is the second English pacemen to be ruled out of the remainder of the NatWest Series, following an injury to James Anderson after the 1st ODI against Australia. Like Anderson, Dernbach also picked up a side strain, his occuring during the second one-day international at the Kia Oval on Sunday.
A rehabilitation and recovery programme will be established alongside Surrey CCC in the coming days following further medical assessment. A replacement for Dernbach will be announced following the third ODI at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
Chris Woakes had already been called up to the squad for the third game of the series
