England Lions and Surrey pace bowler Stuart Meaker has been ruled out of the remainder of the England Lions tour of Sri Lanka and the UAE due to a lower back injury. Meaker will return to the UK immediately for further assessment and to continue his rehabilitation with Surrey.
Kent pace bowler Matthew Coles will join England Lions for the remaining fixtures against Sri Lanka A in Sri Lanka and the fixture against England in Abu Dhabi. Coles has been called up from the Potential England Performance Programme in Chennai.
