Glasgow 2014 has appointed Jacqui Murdoch as Director of Games Time Delivery. Jacqui's role will involve overseeing the management of all Games Time Delivery functional areas, including ensuring the areas of Games Family Relations, Games Services, Sport, Venues and Athletes' Village and Volunteering are all developed and ready to be delivered in July 2014.

Originally from Australia, Jacqui brings with her over 20 years' experience of major international sporting events including Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games and World Championships.

Jacqui joins Glasgow 2014 from the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where she was a consultant on Games Strategy and Governance. Previous to her role in Rio, Jacqui was Vice President of Games Services and Accommodation at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Glasgow 2014 Chief Executive David Grevemberg, said: "Jacqui is a fantastic appointment for us here at Glasgow 2014. Bringing 20 years of international sporting events knowledge and experience to Scotland, Jacqui's role will be absolutely crucial in ensuring that we remain on track to deliver an outstanding Games in July 2014.

"Jacqui and her team will be working tirelessly over the next three years to ensure that everyone attending the Games, especially the athletes competing, have a great experience in Glasgow."

Glasgow 2014 Director of Games Time Delivery Jacqui Murdoch added: "Joining Glasgow 2014 is a huge honour for me. Having been involved in the successful preparation and delivery of past Olympic and Commonwealth Games, I am looking forward to getting to work on what I know will be an outstanding Games for Glasgow and Scotland in 2014."
