Indian tennis star Sania Mirza entered the main draw of the Premier Mandatory event in Miami with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Czech player Renata Voracova in the final round of qualifying. Sania had earlier beaten Han Xinyun of China in the first qualifying round.
Next up for the Indian is the Spaniard Arantxa Parra Santonja. The two have never met before and a win in this match will set up a clash against the Russian diva Maria Kirilenko in Round 2.
Sania and her doubles partner Elena Vesnina, fresh from their triumph at Indian Wells last week will kick off their Miami campaign against 5th seeds, Chan Yung Jan of Chinese Taipei and Zheng Jie of China.
