Young Natasha Van Eldik who made her lawn bowls debut against England at the Moama International in February will be representing her country Australia once more at the Commonwealth Games this October which will take place in Delhi.

Van Eldik, who was introduced to the sport around six years ago when she was just 14, has been enthusiastic about it ever since. In an interview with TheSportsCampus she discussed her favorite part about the sport where she said, "The best aspect about playing lawn bowls is meeting new people and representing your nation at the highest level possible."

The Australian trains for around three hours a day and believes that, "when you play every day, that can be classed as training also." She has so far won a silver medal at the Eight Nation Test Event in Delhi that was held earlier this year in April. Van Eldik was also happy to announce that if she kept achieving her goals she would consider making lawn bowls her full-time career.

The 19-year old also explains that both mental and physical strength are crucial factors required for an excellent performance but apart from strength she also has her sport psychologist, family and friends who are a driving force in her life and it is through them that she is motivated to perform better.

Natasha Van Eldik knows that the weather, type of green, atmosphere and environment could affect her game but she is keen on having fun. And after the event ends she intends on taking a break and then once more get back to achieving her life's goals like she has been doing for the past six years.
