Nigeria and Colombia faced off in England last night and conjured a 1 - 1 draw. Peter Odemwingie and Yakubu started up front for Lars Lagerback's Nigerian team that went a goal down 12 minutes into the game thanks to defender Carlos Valdes. The Super Eagles were looking to win this warm-up game after drawing with Asian giants Saudi Arabia a week ago and they equalized with 18 minutes to go through Monaco midfielder Haruna Lukman. Both the two sides failed to add to their tallies and the game ended in a 1 - 1 draw. Nigeria will face North Korea in their final warm up game before they begin their FIFA World Cup campaign against Argentina on the 12th of June.

raymond_domenech.jpgRaymond Domenech has a lot to ponder on after France drew 1 - 1 against the Tunisians in Rades, Tunisia. Les Blues went a goal down in just the 6th minute when Lens striker Issam Jemaa scored his 15th international goal. France looked to be playing their strongest possible side and things definitely look ominous for them as the World Cup approaches. They pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute through the returning William Gallas, who once again showed his value in both boxes. Domenech made 7 substitutions in the game, which severely spoilt the shape of his side and the French never really looked good enough to go and kill the game off with another goal. They host China in 5 days time for their final World Cup warm up game.

Chile hosted two friendlies in the space of hours in two different stadia, looking to get everything perfectly organized and settled before the World Cup starts. Their first opponent Northern Ireland succumbed to a 1 - 0 defeat thanks to a first half goal from Esteban Paredes. Coach Marcelo Bielsa had a few of his star players in this game on the pitch including Pablo Contreras, Mark Gonzalez and Arturo Vidal. Northern Ireland are a team difficult to break down and this was a fairly decent result achieved by the Chileans.

Sixty miles and 7 hours later Chile faced Israel in their last but one friendly before the FIFA World Cup in South Africa starting on 11th June. Alexis Sanchez and Humberto Suazo were two of the new faces in a team that had no players playing from the game against Northern Ireland. This team was a lot more successful though as 19 minutes into the contest Humberto Suazo gave the home team the lead scoring his 18th international goal. His strike partner Alexis Sanchez scored on the other side of half time in the 49th minute and finally in injury time Besiktas midfielder Rodrigo Tello made the score line extremely emphatic with a third goal for the hosts. Chile next take on New Zealand, a day prior to the World Cup in preparation for the showpiece event.

Nigeria 1 - 1 Colombia
Tunisia 1 - 1 France
Chile 1 - 0 Northern Ireland
Chile 3 - 0 Israel
