The 23 year old joined Lazio from Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting this June but has only managed to stay with the Biancocelesti for 2 months. L’Equipe states that the Uruguayan defender has now switched from Lazio to Spanish side Getafe on a free transfer and has signed a five year deal with the club.

Dutch international Klaas Jan Huntelaar has moved to German giants FC Schalke 04 for a reported fee of €13 million. The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovich from Barcelona to AC Milan unsettled the Dutch hitman and he rejoins former Real Madrid teammate Raul by signing for Schalke. Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Croatian goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa from Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan deal. Roque Santa Cruz and his agent have not yet shown up at Lazio to seal a loan deal. The out-of-favor Man City player was supposed to join the Italian side for the season with an option to a permanent switch at £6.5million, the Daily Mirror reports. If at all the deal falls through and Santa Cruz does not end up in Roberto Mancini’s 25-man-squad (which is highly probable) the striker could end up with hardly any game time with only the League Cup and FA Cup to play for. Well, time is ticking for the Paraguayan!

Besiktas has launched a late bid for Tottenham striker Robbie Keane after failing to land Robinho at the club, the Daily Mirror reports. The Turkish side is in the process of strengthening their squad and after bringing in Guti from Real Madrid and Ricardo Quaresma from Inter Milan the club hopes to land Keane on loan for the season.

Forget what Beppe Marotta (general manager) has to say about Juventus being DONE with their summer signings. Tuttosport yet believes that the Napoli defender Leandro Rinaudo could become a Bianconeri player today.

Spicy Rumour

It’s getting crazier at the Kop! With Javier Mascherano almost out, Dirk Kuyt could be next in line. The Dutchman hopes to reunite with former boss Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan.
