The Queen's Baton's arrival at St. Kitts & Nevis was attended by the Minister of Sports of St. Ktts and Nevis along with prominent CGA members.
The Baton after the arrival ceremony was taken to the residence of the Governor General of the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis HE Sir Cuthberth Sebastian. Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kim Collins and Youth Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Jason Rogers also attended the event. This was followed by a relay from children with special needs from the Governor General's residence to the streets.
The Masqueraders then carried the baton through the streets of Bastierre while their performance gripped the whole city together. A public showing of the baton post the performance at the steps of the government building.
Honourable Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Mr. Denzel Douglas addressed the public showing of the baton. The day finally culminated at a cocktail reception hosted by the Honourary Indian Consul, Mr. Kishu Chandiranami.
