The Queen's Baton and Shera enjoyed the Concorde experience when they visited the only museum showcasing the Concorde plane's history in Barbados. It was an exhilarating experience to be in the fastest passenger planes of all time.
Leading national athletes of Barbados then got an opportunity to pose with the Baton and Shera, before they undertook a bus journey visiting Nicholas Abbey (the oldest grand building on the island with a distillery producing award winning rum) and Harrisons Cave.
Final stop for the baton and Shera was the National Stadium where the annual school championships were underway. Thousands had gathered to cheer the students as they participated in the competition and to welcome the baton and Shera.
