The marketing partnership between the Romanian federation and Infront has been running for 16 years. The long-standing nature of this agreement is in line with Infront's extremely stable relationships with its many football federation partners.
The agreement covers media and stadium advertising rights for home qualification and preparation matches played by the Romanian national team (A team).
BUILDING ON A SUCCESSFUL PAST
Although Romania has not qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the team is seeking to build on a successful past. Romania has appeared at no less than seven FIFA World Cup finals and also reached UEFA EURO 2008 with ease.
Mircea Sandu, President of the Romanian Football Federation, said: "We believe in continuity and experience and have chosen to confirm our faith in Infront with this extension. For us, the financial security and experienced support that this relationship provides will enable us to focus on bringing Romanian football back to its traditional strength and prominence."
Philippe Blatter, Infront's President & CEO, added: "With this agreement, another of Infront's long-term relationships in football is confirmed for a further four years. It sends a signal that we continue developing a very strong and diversified position in world football, the sport that has always been an essential part of our core business."
